ABOUT US

The National Association of Mortgage Professionals® and the Mortgage M® were founded and established by Mr. Michael J. Lefevre in 2005 in Irvine, California.

Early in his mortgage career, Mr. Lefevre recognized the need for education and ethics by all parties involved in a mortgage transaction. He observed the disparity of qualifications and integrity among individuals working within the mortgage industry while handling what most people would deem to be the “most significant financial transaction in a person’s life.” He saw with frustration that the individuals in the trenches, i.e., point of sale retail loan officers, loan processors, wholesale account executives, underwriters, funders, etc. represented a fragmented industry.

As a result, Mr. Lefevre founded The National Association of Mortgage Professionals® and the Mortgage M®. The organization’s focus is set squarely on the Education and Ethics of its members and those that they serve.

Despite the debacle of the housing market crash of 2008, there still remains a growing number of organizations and individuals in the mortgage industry that continue to treat this important transaction with the same indifference as ordering a fast food meal and a population of the general public that knows no better. The purpose of the National Association of Mortgage Professionals and the Mortgage M is to remedy this apathy and lack of integrity within the industry.

The National Association of Mortgage Professionals and the Mortgage M will not give up in its endeavor to improve financial Education and Ethics for all.

The National Association of Mortgage Professionals® and the Mortgage M® are in NO WAY ASSOCIATED with NAMB or NAMB.ORG.
